Daily Sketch #2

More like a monthly sketch right now. I have to get into the habit to make it a daily.
The theme today was "gold digger".

Japan 2

In October I returned to Japan for the second time this year.
I was there for 10 days flying in and out of Nagoya but spending most of the time in Tokyo including a daytrip to Kamakura.
I took a whole lot of photos (1425 of them to be precise). Here are 10 of them. Please check out more on Flickr.

Mare 3: Apokalypsen

The last book in Ruben Eliassen's trilogy Mare has already been in the shops a couple of weeks here in Norway. It's called Mare: Apokalypsen (Mare: The Apocalypse).
Personally this is the book I'm most happy with, both when it comes to my own work and how it turned out in print.
As always I did 20 illustrations for it plus the cover.
Here are five. Hope you like them.

Daily Sketch #1

I'm trying to get back into the habit of doing a daily sketch and start contributing again to the threads on the discussion board I'm administrating called Det Store Dyret (as well as getting some more stuff to post here).
Today I was inspired by a (IMO horrific) piece of medieval-techno-something someone posted as a topic.
My first thought was the Shakespearean actor in Rowan Atkinson Live, but after a while the music got a bit faster so I just gave him an iPod.
It was done in about 15 minutes.

Mare: Nøkkelen

The second book in Ruben Eliassen's Mare trilogy was just released in the bookshops here in Norway. It's called Mare: Nøkkelen (Mare: The Key in English).
I did 20 illustrations for this one as well plus the cover. And here's a handful of them. Hope you like. :)

SketchCrawl #6 in Oslo

World Wide SketchCrawl #19 took place on the 21st of June. And it was the sixth time we got together in Oslo.
We spent most of the time in The Vigelandspark sketching before moving to Tekehtopa for food and drinks.
It was good to get out sketching again and I finally got around to scan some of my doodles - about one month too late...
Hope you like them.
I've also got a photo gallery from the SketchCrawl here.

Funcom's Age of Conan PR Party

On Tuesday the 13th of May Funcom invited journalists from all over the world, celebrities, fans and employees to a huge party at Holmenkollen in Oslo to celebrate the launch of our latest game; Age Of Conan: Hyborian Adventures.
Holmenkollen had been turned into a Cimmerian camp with locals and horses, meat was being grilled and served, drinks were free, jugglers and flame blowers performed, Helene Bøksle sang from the soundtrack with her amazing voice and the occasional fight broke out between warriors. The whole event culminated in a great battle where Conan in person sorted everything out followed by a massive firework display.
Afterwards we were taken underground to a harem where Turbonegro had a concert (which happened after I'd left the harem).
It was a fun evening and I took some photos.
You can see some more on Flickr.
